So we as civilians won't likely see much of any benefit directly from the operation of these supercomputers.",

      "commentText": "You&amp;rsquo;re delusional if you think the government needs an exascale supercomputer to gain access to your personal information. Most government agencies can do that with a simple subpoena (or just because they want to). An exascale supercomputer would be used for molecular modeling. Petascale computers are getting pretty good at it, so with an order of magnitude bump supercomputer should be able to simulate some fairly complex biological functions. Ultimately supercomputers will be able to accurately model an entire cell, then an entire organ, then an entire organism all from a genome.",
