Just because people don't live according to the westerns' living standards it doesn't make them miserable and pitiable! You should see Europeans when they travel to Asian and African countries how they're amazed by the culture and overwhelmed by the friendliness of the people there. Speaking of Islam in the Mideast, except for one or two very conservative nations including Saudi Arabia which is ironically the West best ally the rest are not very strict when it comes to applying Islamic rules regarding stuff like women's dress code, in some countries like Lebanon, Syria or Turkey wearing Hijab is optional and you see women in mini skirts walking side by side with those wearing headscarves, I've also seen many YouTube videos of Iranians and their new years parties, they even have one particular ceremony during which youths dance on the streets make bonfires and jump over them! No matter how hard the westerners try to portray themselves as the advocates of democracy and human rights no one would buy that sh*t as long as they keep harassing minorities in their very own communities! Someone with even a brain as big as a pea would agree that the main victims of sanctions are people themselves and not their governments, but the rednecks put and extend sanctions against different nations while weeping crocodile tears for them! After 9/11 they started their epic war against terrorism in Iraq and Afghanistan, gobbled their oil and slaughtered thousands innocents who had nothing to do with that terrorist attack while sword dancing with the main culprits!

What is telling is that Obama/EU (not for the first time) has tried to overthrow a legitimate leader of Turkey on the door steeps of Europe & a NATO Partner at that!.....Using what else?....A South American style military junta coup, circa 1970's.
It is worth nothing that the Turkish Coup of 1980 was sponsored & organised by the USA. Evidence is presented by the CIA’s Ankara station Chief Paul Henze, He cabled Washington proclaiming proudly, “Our boys did it!”!! It is estimated as many as 650,000 victims were detained, many were tortured & thousands were killed or “vanished.”
Further the Turkish Junta (under order from the USA) imposed an austerity program that froze wages etc,while creating profitable conditions for US capital.
The US sponsored coup did not work this time, as it did not work in Venezuela when the US arrested Chavez because of people power & the digital age. Clearly It is 2016, South American coup techniques don't work well in the digital age! Now its payback time! The US empire is falling apart in large bits, we can only hope for more.
So comforting to know Erdogan has locked some 1,500 US airmen and their families in the southern Turkish air base of Incirlik.
Turkey says the coup has America behnd it.Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim insinuated that the Americans may be viewed as partners, at least passive ones, in the conspiracy, in view of the use the plotters made of Incirlik for sending aircraft based there and arming them for the missions of intercepting the President’s airplane.
