I'm Dominican and I've been following this issue since the ruling came out last year. I actually read it and know as much as I can about this case. Legally, Ms. Deguis is NOT a Dominican citizen, but as a matter of justice I think she's as Dominican as I am. \r\n\r\nBut the Dominican government and courts has a responsibility to ensure that the law is followed, which doesn't happen a lot in my country.
