But Costco funds it somehow cause it is pretty deeply discounted liquor as well as they sell Kirkland's (Costco's brand) liquor. Which honestly the Kirkland's brand house liquor is decent.",

"commentText": "So whats happening here is the same thing that happened in the 90's.. Majestic, Big Daddys were swallowing up smaller mom & pop liquor stores with their aggressive pricing BUT it was still a level playing field because they were all lic to be package stores. These giants would buy 1000-2000 cases, benefiting from the cost at this buying level. A small shop couldnt compete! Would you buy a 1.75 of jack at 22 or 26 ON SALE? These guys started to monopolize the industry until they were bought out by SPECS, Centennial etc.. So now we have Total Wine, which uses the same warehouse buying level mentality, offering great pricing..which i love BTW. So consider this, if Walmart or SAms or Costco are Lic to sell liquor, it would drive everyone else outta business, that is unless you just like paying more for your local shop. Im not married to the local chain of stores but i like the fact that it keeps that money local to the community, not some massive corp.. my 2 cents ",

But they Sell liquor in Houston and they do have some very good pricing on things. Honestly though down here all the mom and pops got run off years ago as SPECS rules the world in liquor in this town.",

"commentText": "There really is no reason for publicly held companies being banned for selling alcohol in a state. If they win and that law is dropped they still have to abide by local and county laws. This also opens the door for other companies to sell such as Costco, Whole Foods,etc. Would there be complaints if it was one of these stores suing the state because of the law?
