I have always waited to purchase the things that I desired.       "commentText": "This is a desperately sad situation for so many people. Many will have been affected by the intense pressure put on their children by tv advertising  and peer pressure to insist on the 'must have' latest gadget at Christmas.  It breaks my heart to see a woman on benefits thinking it is necessary to spend thousands on gifts for her three and four year old children.  There is a  lack of training at school on basic economics, and how to manage in the kitchen,  Domestic science is a skill which used to be taught, and backed up by the mothers cooking skills.  These days there is too much in the way of expensive, often unhealthy, ready meals and fast food. The banks and financial institutions are as much to blame, I truly believe that credit cards in particular should not be issued to people with inadequate income.  Before I am shot down In Flames, I exist on a £10,000 a year pension, and whatever earnings I can make as a self employed person.",
